Abstract
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, and labeling of protective clothing for acid and alkali chemicals.
This standard applies to protective clothing used by workers in industrial workplaces to protect against liquid acid and alkali chemicals.
This standard does not apply to protective clothing used in firefighting, emergency rescue, and other workplaces involving acid and alkali chemicals.
This standard does not apply to protective clothing for hydrofluoric acid, ammonia water, or organic acids and bases.
Note: The protective objects of the products covered by this standard are liquid acid and alkali chemicals. However, this standard cannot cover protection against all liquid acid and alkali chemicals. Users should select suitable protective equipment based on the actual situation of the work site, combined with the protective performance data provided by the manufacturer, and refer to relevant selection and equipment standards.
