Abstract
This standard specifies the principles of RT-PCR detection of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), reagents and instruments, detection procedures, and result interpretation.
This standard is applicable to the detection of PRRSV in clinical samples (lung, spleen, and serum) and cell cultures from pigs; it is also applicable to the genotyping detection of three PRRSV subtypes: classical, highly pathogenic, and NADC30-like.
