GB/T 10125-2012 Corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres—Salt spray tests
Abstract
This standard specifies the equipment, reagents, and methods used in neutral salt spray (NSS), acetic acid salt spray (AASS), and copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray (CASS) tests.
This standard is applicable to evaluating the corrosion resistance of metal materials and coatings. The objects tested may have permanent or temporary corrosion resistance, or may not have either permanent or temporary corrosion resistance.
This standard also specifies methods for evaluating the environmental corrosivity of test chambers.
This standard does not specify the size of the samples, the test cycle for special products, or the interpretation of the results. For these items, please refer to the corresponding product specifications.
This test is suitable for detecting discontinuities such as pores and other defects in metals and their alloys, metal coatings, organic coatings, anodized films, and conversion films.
