This document specifies the safety requirements for furniture with electric components for household and similar purposes.
This document applies to furniture with electric components for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
Furniture with electric components that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public, such as furniture intended for use by non-professionals in shops, offices, hotels, restaurants, cinemas, hospitals, schools, light industry, and farms, also falls within the scope of this document.
