Abstract
This standard specifies the terminology and definitions, reagents, main tools and equipment, sample selection, sample preparation, storage, and re-sampling for chemical composition analysis of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This standard is applicable to the preparation of samples for chemical composition analysis of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy products and semi-finished products. The preparation of samples for chemical composition analysis of cast aluminum alloy ingots, aluminum intermediate alloys, other metal and alloy products or semi-finished products can also be carried out in accordance with the methods specified in this standard.
