This standard specifies the station codes, station name codes, and area station numbers for marine observation stations (points) in China, including marine stations (points) and oil platforms, as well as the coding principles and methods for station codes of shore-based radar stations.
This standard only includes the content related to the station codes of marine observation stations (points) in mainland China, and does not include the content related to the station codes of marine observation stations (points) in Taiwan Province of China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Macao Special Administrative Region.
This standard applies to the management of marine observation stations (points), such as marine stations (points), oil platforms, and shore-based radar stations, as well as the identification, recording, transmission, processing, storage, exchange, and application of their data.
