This document specifies the measurement method for fuel consumption of heavy commercial vehicles. This document applies to commercial vehicles powered by gasoline and diesel with a maximum design total mass of more than 3,500 kg, including trucks, semi-trailer tractors, ordinary passenger cars, dump trucks, and urban buses. Concrete mixing and transport vehicles can refer to the measurement methods for dump trucks, and other specialized transport vehicles can refer to the measurement methods for trucks. This document does not apply to specialized operation vehicles, including box-type specialized operation vehicles, tank-type specialized operation vehicles, specialized dump operation vehicles, warehouse-style specialized operation vehicles, lifting-hoisting specialized operation vehicles, and special-structure specialized operation vehicles. This document does not apply to hybrid electric vehicles.
