GB/T 3836.8-2021 Explosive atmospheres—Part 8: Equipment protection by type of protection “n”
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for the structure, testing, and marking of electrical equipment protected by the "n" type in Class II explosive gas environments. The explosion-proof types include the "nC" sealing device, the "nC" gas-tight device, the "nC" non-ignition elements, and the "nR" restricted breathing enclosures.
This document applies to electrical equipment with a rated input voltage not exceeding 15 kV AC RMS or DC. The working voltage inside Ex products can exceed 15 kV, such as the starters of HID lamps.
This document supplements and modifies the general requirements of GB/T 3836.1, as shown in Table 1. When the requirements of this document conflict with those of GB/T 3836.1, the requirements of this document shall take precedence.
