This part of YY/T 0987 describes the distortion and signal loss artifacts caused by passive implants (surgical implants that do not rely on electrical or other energy for operation) in magnetic resonance (MR) images. Passive implants that cannot be determined to be safe for MR or safe under MR-specific conditions are not within the scope of this part.
