Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for digital radiography (DR) inspection of fusion welded joints in gas cylinders during the manufacturing process, including inspection techniques, equipment, processes, and image quality standards.
This document is applicable to DR inspections of fusion welded joints in gas cylinders made from steel and non-ferrous metals with a nominal thickness of 1.5 mm to 16.0 mm and a nominal diameter of 100 mm to 1,200 mm.
DR inspections of fusion welded joints in gas cylinders with similar specifications, dimensions, and materials, as well as in-service gas cylinders, can refer to this document for guidance.
