Abstract
The guidelines given in this part of GB/T 5169 cover the following aspects:
a) Optical measurement of smoke obscuration;
b) Overview of optical smoke test methods;
c) Issues to be considered when selecting test methods;
d) Presentation of smoke test data;
e) The relevance of optical smoke data to risk assessment.
One of the tasks of the Product Standardization Committee is to use these basic safety publications whenever applicable when preparing its own publications.
