Abstract
This document specifies the requirements and test methods for swimming goggles used for surface swimming (hereinafter referred to as "swimming goggles"). This document includes requirements for swimming goggles used for recreational and professional competitive swimming. This document covers materials, structure, optical characteristics, and test methods.
This document also specifies the requirements for information such as labels and instructions provided by manufacturers for swimming goggles.
This document applies to swimming goggles used for surface swimming and snorkeling, such as diving from the edge of a swimming pool. Swimming goggles are not suitable for wearing when diving from a high board.
This document applies to swimming goggles that include the following lenses:
a) Non-prescription flat or unfocused lenses;
b) Non-prescription mass-produced corrective lenses;
c) Prescription lenses.
