This document describes the detection protocols for porosity in additive manufactured metal parts using industrial computed tomography (CT), including general requirements, system requirements, system maintenance, detection preparation, detection, image reconstruction, processing and analysis, determination and representation of porosity parameters, and detection records and reports.
This document is applicable to industrial CT detection of porosity in additive manufactured metal parts, and can also be used as a reference for the detection of porosity in additive manufactured non-metallic parts.
