This document applies to the radio frequency interference (radiation and conduction) emitted by the following devices:
—— Lighting equipment (3.3.16);
—— The lighting part of multifunctional devices whose main function is lighting;
Note 1: Examples include lighting equipment for visible light communication and entertainment lighting.
—— UV and IR radiation equipment for residential and non-industrial applications;
—— Public announcement signs;
Note 2: Examples include neon-style advertising signs.
—— Decorative lighting;
—— Emergency signs.
The following are not included in the scope of this document:
—— Components or modules intended to be installed in lighting equipment and not replaceable by users;
Note 3: See CISPR 30 (all parts) for built-in control devices.
—— Lighting equipment operating in the industrial, scientific, and medical frequency bands [defined in ITU Radio Regulations Resolution 63 (1979)];
—— Lighting equipment for aircraft and airports (runways, service facilities, platforms);
—— Video signage;
—— Mounting brackets;
—— Equipment whose electromagnetic compatibility requirements in the radio frequency range are explicitly specified in other CISPR standards, even if it has built-in lighting functions.
Note 4: Examples of non-inclusion include:
—— Built-in lighting fixtures used as display backlighting, dial illumination, and signal indication;
—— SSL displays;
—— Range hoods, refrigerators, freezers;
—— Copiers, slide projectors;
—— Lighting equipment for road motor vehicles (within the scope of CISPR 12).
The frequency range covered is 9 kHz to 400 GHz. No testing is required at frequencies not specified in this document.
For multifunctional devices that apply the provisions of this document and/or other standards simultaneously, the relevant functions must meet the requirements of each provision or standar
