Abstract
This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, accompanying documents, and packaging, transportation, and storage of dimethyl sulfoxide.
This document applies to dimethyl sulfoxide obtained by synthesizing dimethyl sulfide from methanol and carbon disulfide or hydrogen sulfide, and then refining it by oxidation with pure oxygen, or by distilling and purifying the recovered solution of dimethyl sulfoxide from electronic cleaning agents.
