Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation, and storage for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin used in bottles. This standard applies to homopolymer PET resins produced by direct esterification continuous polymerization or batch polymerization using purified terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol as the main raw materials, as well as copolymer PET resins produced by direct esterification continuous polymerization or batch polymerization using purified terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and isophthalic acid as the main raw materials.
