Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for wire assemblies and interconnecting wire assemblies used in household and similar applications, including the requirements for components, the entire assembly, and electrical continuity and polarity.
This document applies to wire assemblies and interconnecting wire assemblies used in household and similar applications.
This document does not apply to industrial wire assemblies [with plugs and connectors meeting the requirements of GB/T 11918 (all parts)] nor to extension cord sockets (wire extension assemblies).
Note: According to the definition in this document, power cords with detachable plugs and connectors are not considered "wire assemblies". However, considering that they are similar to "wire assemblies" and serve similar purposes, such power cords with detachable plugs and connectors shall comply with the requirements of this document as far as possible.
