Abstract
ISO 4306 defines the most commonly used terminology in the crane field.
This document defines the general definition of tower cranes and illustrates the terms used for each type of tower crane through example diagrams with reference numbers.
This document applies to:
——Tower cranes that can be assembled and disassembled (cranes erected with components or self-erected cranes);
——Permanently installed tower cranes;
——Mobile self-erected tower cranes.
This document does not apply to:
——Mobile cranes;
——Installation masts with or without booms.
