YY/T 1501-2016 Dentistry—Graphical symbols for dental instruments
Abstract
This standard provides a series of graphic symbols for dental instruments. These graphic symbols are specifically used in the field of dentistry or in corresponding specific fields within the scope of dentistry. The common symbols are extracted from relevant ISO, IEC, or other international documents, and some new symbols provided by manufacturers or users have also been added.
Because many dental products are considered medical devices, while others are not. In the field of dentistry, the symbols specified in ISO 15223 are considered impractical. The purpose of this standard is to expand the application scope of some graphic symbols in ISO 15233 to the entire field of dentistry, so these symbols and their source files are listed in this standard.
