This standard specifies the main categories and codes of information security products, including eight aspects: physical security, host and computing environment security, network communication security, boundary security, application security, data security, security management and support, and others.
This standard is applicable to the construction of national information security level protection and the product classification management in the information security industry.
This standard is not applicable to commercial cryptographic products that provide cryptographic algorithm operations (such as cryptographic chips and cryptographic modules, etc.).
