GB/Z 18029.16-2021 Wheelchairs—Part 16:Resistance to ignition of postural support devices
Abstract
This document specifies the flame retardancy requirements and test methods for positioning devices used as part of wheelchair seating systems during open flame testing.
This document is only used to determine the flame retardancy of the positioning device, not the overall flame retardancy of the wheelchair.
This document is not applicable to the flame retardancy of other parts of the wheelchair, such as wheels and frames.
This document does not consider changes in flame retardancy after cleaning or use.
This document can be used to test the upper and lower side protectors (such as armrests) commonly used on horizontal surfaces, or the front, rear, outer, and inner side protectors (such as chest slings and calf boards) used on vertical surfaces.
Note 1: The setting requirements of this document are the minimum level.
Note 2: Requirements for controlling the risk of fire caused by electrical circuits or electronic devices are specified in ISO 7176-14.
