This standard specifies the scope, term definitions, test principles, information on test samples, reference materials, quality control, test methods, data and reports, and interpretation and evaluation of results for the hydrolysis test of chemicals related to pH. This standard is applicable to the determination of the hydrolysis ability of chemicals related to pH. It is suitable for compounds (unlabeled and labeled) with sufficient accuracy and sensitivity in analytical methods. It applies to slightly volatile and non-volatile compounds with sufficient water solubility. It is not suitable for highly volatile compounds (such as fumigants and organic solvents) that can be preserved in aqueous solutions under experimental conditions. It is difficult to conduct tests on substances with extremely low water solubility [8].
