Abstract
This section specifies the determination of carbon content in ferrochromium and silicon-chromium alloys by infrared absorption and gravimetric methods. In this section, the infrared absorption method is applicable to the determination of carbon content in ferrochromium and silicon-chromium alloys, with a measurement range (mass fraction) of 0.010% to 10.50%; the gravimetric method is applicable to the determination of carbon content in ferrochromium, with a measurement range (mass fraction) of 4.00% to 10.50%.
