GB/T 1632.3-2010 Plastics—Determination of the viscosity of polymers in dilute solution using capillary viscometer—Part 3:Polyethylenes and polypropylenes
Abstract
This part of GB/T 1632 specifies the methods for determining the specific viscosity (also known as viscosity number) and characteristic viscosity of polyethylene and polypropylene dilute solutions at 135℃.
This part is applicable to polyethylene and polypropylene materials.
Additives present in the samples may affect the measurement results of the viscosity of polymer dilute solutions. If the samples contain fillers or other additives, the viscosity results measured by this method are unreliable.
Note: The specific viscosity is also known as the Staudinger function (Jv), and the characteristic viscosity is also known as the Staudinger index (Jg).
