Abstract
This document provides a description of the main damage patterns of pressure equipment, including the damage mechanism, damage form, affected materials, main influencing factors, devices or equipment prone to damage, main preventive measures, detection or monitoring methods, and other related or concomitant damages. This document is applicable to the identification of damage patterns in pressure equipment. However, it is not applicable to the failure of pressure equipment seals, safety interlock devices, or pressure relief devices.
