This part of GB 20800 specifies the safety requirements and/or safety measures for Class I, M2 reciprocating compression-ignition engines (hereinafter referred to as internal combustion engines) used in underground mine tunnels where methane and/or combustible dust exist, aiming to eliminate or mitigate various potential hazards and risks posed by internal combustion engines.
