GB/T 21991-2008 Plastics—Preparation of PVC paste for test purpose—Planetary-mixer method
Abstract
This standard specifies two methods for preparing paste (also known as plastic sol) from suitable PVC resins, plasticizers, and other components through a planetary mixing process, namely Method A and Method B. Both Method A and Method B can be used to prepare paste from any components. Method A (single-speed) is particularly suitable for resins that are prone to heat buildup during the paste preparation process, while Method B (double-speed) is more suitable for repetitive operations, such as process control in resin production, due to its short mixing time. This paste can be used for various experimental purposes, including naming resins and measuring the rheological properties of resins in specifications.
