This part of GB/T 2423 provides standard procedures for determining the ability of samples to withstand specified severity of non-repetitive or repetitive impacts. The purpose of this test is to expose mechanical weaknesses and/or performance degradation, as well as cumulative damage and degradation caused by impacts, and to use this information, in conjunction with relevant specifications, to determine whether the samples can be accepted. In some cases, this impact test can also be used to determine the structural integrity of samples or as a means of quality control (see A.2). This test is primarily aimed at unpackaged samples and samples whose packaging can be considered part of the product itself under transport conditions. If unpackaged items are tested, they are classified as test samples. However, if the items are packaged, both the product and its packaging are considered as test samples. GB/T 2423.43-2008 provides an introduction to the acceptance of packaged products. This part is written for pulse waveforms, and Appendix A provides guidelines for selecting and using these pulse waveforms. Appendix B discusses the characteristics of various waveforms. If possible, the test severity and impact pulse waveforms applied to the samples should simulate the effects of actual transport or working environments that the samples will encounter; and the purpose of the test is to evaluate structural integrity and compliance with design requirements (see A.2 and A.4). During the test, the samples are always fixed directly or through fixtures to the impact test machine table. Note: This part uses the term "impact test machine", which does not exclude other methods of generating pulse waveforms. Where applicable, one of the responsibilities of the technical committee is to use basic safety publications when preparing publications.
