Abstract
This document specifies the spectrophotometric and liquid chromatographic methods for determining the aldehyde content in industrial glycol.
This document is applicable to the determination of aldehyde content in industrial glycol, with a measurement range of 0.10 mg/kg to 50 mg/kg.
If the glycol sample contains ketone compounds, the analysis results obtained by the liquid chromatographic method will be overestimated. Therefore, when applying this document to the quality control of the aldehyde content in glycol products, the relevant parties should consult and determine the analysis method to be used.
