GB/T 230.2-2022 Metallic materials—Rockwell hardness test—Part 2:Verification and calibration of testing machines and indenters
Abstract
This document specifies two testing methods (direct testing and indirect testing) for Rockwell hardness testers used to determine Rockwell hardness according to GB/T 230.1, and also prescribes the testing method for Rockwell hardness indenter. The direct testing method is suitable for checking whether the main parameters related to the hardness tester's function are within the specified tolerances, such as test force, depth measurement, and test cycle time. The indirect testing method is suitable for determining the performance of the hardness tester when measuring known hardness materials using a set of calibrated standard hardness blocks.
