Abstract
1.1 This section specifies the gas chromatography method for determining the purity of acrylonitrile and the content of impurities in industrial acrylonitrile. These impurities include acetaldehyde, acetone, acrylaldehyde, benzene, methacrylonitrile, acetonitrile, azole, propionitrile, butadiene nitrile, and isobutadiene nitrile, etc. 1.2 This section is applicable to the determination of acrylonitrile samples with a content of not less than 99% (mass fraction), an acrylaldehyde content of not less than 0.0001% (mass fraction), and an impurity content of not less than 0.001% (mass fraction).
