Abstract
This standard specifies the shape, color, light quality, marking symbols, and their installation and use requirements for floating buoys and fixed underwater markers in Chinese sea areas that function similarly to floating buoys. This standard applies to floating buoys and fixed underwater markers set up by departments such as transportation, fisheries, scientific research, oil exploration, marine development, and the military in Chinese sea areas and their ports and estuaries. This standard does not apply to lighthouses, sector lights, beacons, lightships, and large navigational buoys.
