Abstract
GB/T 2951 specifies the test methods for polymer insulation and sheath materials of power distribution and communication cables and optical cables, including those used on ships and offshore platforms. This part of GB/T 2951 prescribes the measurement methods for thickness and external dimensions, as well as the test methods for mechanical properties. These methods are applicable to the most common types of insulation and sheath materials (elastomers, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.).
