GB/T 3884.15-2025 Methods for chemical analysis of copper concentrates—Part 15:Determination of total iron and ferriferrous oxide contents
Abstract
This document describes the methods for determining the total iron content in copper concentrates and copper slag concentrates by the potassium dichromate titration method, and for determining the ferric oxide content by the magnetic material analysis method.
This document is applicable to the determination of total iron and ferric oxide content in copper concentrates and copper slag concentrates. The range of total iron (mass fraction) determination is 8.00% to 42.00%; the range of ferric oxide (mass fraction) determination is 0.10% to 5.0%.
This document is not applicable to the determination of ferric oxide in samples containing more than 0.10% of magnetic substances such as elemental iron, elemental cobalt, and elemental nickel.
