GB/T 20840.11-2025 Active

This document specifies additional technical requirements for low-power passive voltage transformers (LPVTs) with only analog voltage output in terms of terminology and definitions, rated values, design and structure, testing and consulting, bidding and ordering guidelines, etc. This document applies to newly manufactured analog output LPVTs with a rated frequency of 15 Hz to 100 Hz, intended for use in electrical measurement instruments or relay protection devices for measurement and protection purposes, or for both measurement and protection functions. This document does not apply to passive LPVTs with derivative output signals, nor to electronic voltage transformers with digital output or those employing any type of active electronic components. Note: Passive LPVTs only have analog voltage output (for digital output or technologies using any type of active electronic components, please refer to GB/T 20840.7). Such passive LPVTs may include secondary signal cables (transmission cables). The secondary voltage of passive LPVTs is proportional to the primary voltage.
