Abstract
This section applies to surface-mounted metallized polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film dielectric DC fixed capacitors used in electronic devices. These capacitors have metallized connection pads or solder pads and are intended to be mounted on the substrate of hybrid circuits or printed circuit boards. These capacitors may have self-healing properties related to their operating conditions, and they are primarily intended for applications where the AC component is relatively small compared to the rated voltage.
