This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for pre-oriented polyester filament yarn. This standard applies to pre-oriented polyester filament yarn with a linear density of 70 dtex to 600 dtex, a single filament count of less than 100, a single filament linear density of 1.5 dtex to 10.0 dtex, a circular cross-section, and untreated or semi-mattified polyester filament yarn used for stretching and dyeing. Direct weaving or other polyester pre-oriented filament yarns can be used as a reference for application.
