GB/T 9797-2022 Metallic and other inorganic coatings—Electrodeposited coatings of nickel,nickel plus chromium,copper plus nickel and of copper plus nickel plus chromium
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for decorative nickel, nickel + chromium, copper + nickel, and copper + nickel + chromium electroplating layers on steel, zinc and zinc alloys, copper and copper alloys, and aluminum and aluminum alloys, which are used to provide a beautiful appearance and enhance protection. This document also specifies the marking of electroplating layers of different thicknesses and types, and provides a selection guide for the level of electroplating layers exposed to corresponding service environments.
This document does not specify the surface condition of the base metal before electroplating.
This document applies to decorative nickel, nickel + chromium, copper + nickel, and copper + nickel + chromium electroplating layers on steel, zinc and zinc alloys, copper and copper alloys, and aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This document does not apply to the electroplating of unprocessed sheet metal, strip, and wire, nor to the electroplating of threaded fasteners or coil springs.
GB/T 12600 specifies the requirements for copper + nickel + chromium electroplating layers on plastics. GB/T 12332 and GB/T 11379 respectively specify the requirements for engineering nickel and engineering chromium electroplating layers.
