GB/T 26168.3-2010 Electrical insulating materials—Determination of the effects of ionizing radiation—Part 3:Classification system for service in radiation environments
Abstract
This part of GB/T 26168 specifies a grading system as a guide for selecting and retrieving insulating materials used in radiation environments such as nuclear reactor facilities, reactor fuel processing facilities, irradiation facilities, ion accelerators, and X-ray equipment.
The grading system provides a set of parameters for determining the use of three types of polymer materials (hard plastics, soft plastics, and elastomers) in various equipment exposed to ionizing radiation environments.
This part forms the basis for a quantitative assessment of the suitability of the aforementioned materials in radiation environments, and proposes guidance for determining the specifications of these materials and for signing procurement agreements between suppliers and users.
