Abstract
This standard specifies the method for determining the gold content in gold alloy jewelry and related products using the cupellation method (fire assay).
This standard is applicable to the determination of gold content in various gold alloy jewelry and related products (excluding components such as platinum and rhodium that are insoluble in nitric acid) with a gold content ranging from 333.0‰ to 999.5‰.
This standard is designated by GB 11887 as the arbitration method for analyzing the gold content in gold alloy jewelry and related products.
