Abstract
This standard specifies the types and sizes of signs, markings, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, packaging, and storage and transportation for various mechanical and electrical equipment, instruments and meters, and various components (collectively referred to as signs).
This standard does not apply to panel displays, dials, trademarks, and artistic decorative signs of instruments and meters, as well as household appliances. However, the technical requirements of this standard (see Chapter 5) can be used as a reference for the above-mentioned products.
