Abstract
This standard specifies the general principles for magnetic memory testing of ferromagnetic metal materials, components, and welds.
Austenitic stainless steel components and welds are magnetic under certain conditions, and magnetic memory testing can also be carried out in accordance with this standard.
This standard provides guidance for the development of magnetic memory testing standards or written work instructions for specific products, equipment, and materials. Unless otherwise specified, the content of this standard represents the minimum requirements.
