This document describes the on-site measurement method for determining the airborne sound insulation performance between two rooms in a building using sound pressure measurement, including the testing equipment, frequency range, measurement steps, measurement locations, result expression, and the content of the test report. This document is applicable to the measurement of airborne sound insulation performance in rooms with a volume of 10 m3 to 250 m3 in the frequency range of 50 Hz to 5000 Hz. The measurement results are suitable for quantifying, evaluating, and comparing the airborne sound insulation performance of rooms, regardless of whether there are furnishings in the room or whether it is a diffuse sound field. Note: The sound insulation performance obtained from the measurement is frequency-dependent. GB/T 50121 and ISO 717-1 provide methods for converting these values into a single evaluation quantity that characterizes their acoustic performance.
