Abstract
This standard specifies the safety requirements for integrated manufacturing systems (IMS), which integrate two or more interconnected machines to achieve specific applications, such as the processing or assembly of parts. This standard provides requirements and recommendations for the safety design, safety protection, and usage information of such IMS (see Figure 1 for the basic structure of an IMS).
