This part of DB31/T 329 stipulates the requirements for the design and construction, evaluation, inspection, acceptance, and operation and maintenance of safety technical prevention systems in primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and childcare institutions in Shanghai. This part applies to public/private primary and secondary schools (including secondary vocational schools), kindergartens, and childcare institutions in the administrative area of Shanghai that have been approved by the education administrative departments and have the qualifications to run schools. The renovation and expansion of existing safety technical prevention systems in primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and childcare institutions should be carried out in accordance with this part. The safety technical prevention systems in foreign-affiliated schools for children of foreign personnel in Shanghai should also be implemented in accordance with this part.
