GB 16899-2011 Safety rules for the construction and installation of escalators and moving walks
Abstract
1.1 This standard applies to newly manufactured escalators and pedal-operated or belt-driven automatic walkways (see Chapter 3).
This standard takes into account all major hazards, dangerous states, and events related to escalators and automatic walkways when used for their intended purpose and under foreseeable misuse by the manufacturer (see Chapter 4).
1.2 This standard does not consider hazards caused by earthquakes.
1.3 This standard does not apply to escalators and automatic walkways manufactured before the implementation of this standard.
