This standard specifies the structure, barcode character set, barcode symbol size, quality assurance, and application parameters of the GS1 128 barcode (hereinafter referred to as the GS1 128 barcode), as well as the rules for encoding and decoding character strings.
This standard is applicable to automatic identification and data collection in commodity barcode systems.
