This part of GB/T 19726 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the design and structure of portable forestry chainsaws powered by internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as forestry chainsaws). This part applies to handheld forestry chainsaws that are operated by a single person, who has read and understood the safety requirements in the user manual, and who uses the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), operates the rear handle with the right hand, and the front handle with the left hand. This part provides methods to eliminate or reduce various hazards arising from the use of forestry chainsaws, and stipulates the requirements for safety operation information provided by manufacturers. This part lists all serious hazards associated with the normal use and reasonable, foreseeable misuse of forestry chainsaws, but does not include hazards caused by recoil or balance of forestry chainsaws with an engine displacement of more than 80 cm3. Note: A list of serious hazards is provided in Appendix A. This part only applies to forestry chainsaws manufactured after its implementation.
