Abstract
This part of GB/T 24637 provides a model for geometric specifications and inspections, defines the corresponding concepts, and also provides the mathematical basis for the concepts related to this model. It defines the general terms of the geometric elements of workpieces.
The purpose of defining the basic concepts of the GPS system in this part is to:
——Provide a clear GPS language for application in design, manufacturing, and inspection;
——Determine elements, features, and rules to provide a foundation for GPS specifications;
——Provide a complete symbolic language for annotating GPS specifications;
——Provide simplified symbols by defining default rules;
——Provide consistent rules for inspection.
This part is applicable to models in product geometric technical specifications and inspections.
