GB/T 9089.2-2023 Electrical installations for outdoor sites under heavy conditions—Part 2:General protection requirements
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for electrical equipment and systems in harsh outdoor conditions, ensuring personal safety against direct and indirect contact with electricity during normal operation and in the event of a fault, as well as the selection of protective devices and systems.
This document applies to all electrical facilities in harsh outdoor conditions (including open-pit mines, quarries, storage yards, and similar locations) with a rated voltage of 1,000 V or less and 1,000 V to 252 kV.
Note: The working conditions of electrical facilities in harsh outdoor conditions are relatively special. They operate in open areas and undertake heavy-load transportation and stacking tasks. The electrical facilities used in such situations have the following characteristics:
——The equipment and systems often need to be relocated;
——The working area is large and constantly expanding;
——There are the effects of special environments.
